in all the sounding nourishment of the world through a huge mouth, and would
feed itself comprehensively.

So, the process of musical gaining knowledge is not only a development of the process of cognizing truth in general, but it is also an educational system to systematically refine the means of gaining knowledge, as well as a practical exercise to skilfully handle them.
The
process of consideration is systematically and logically built into the musical
process of knowing, since the listener considers at every moment which path
of musical knowledge to take.
Due to his natural inner desire for greater joy, he decides for that path
which quickly and without obstruction leads into the depth of the musical
sense and to higher knowledge; because, according to a law of nature, the
knowledge of finer and more complex musical orders gives the listener greater
joy and happiness.
